This year we are Running4Geelong, in a race for better health.

100% of our fundraising will support Sharing Tullis Smile fund, raising money for Music Therapy on the children's ward at Barwon health, in memory of sweet Tulli Rose Seabert.

More about our Fund-

Sharing Tulli's Smile strives to help the health and wellbeing of sick children across the Greater Geelong region through the power of music therapy.

The program is managed by Rebecca Seabert and her husband Travis and was

inspired by their brave, strong and happy little soul, Tulli Rose.

Tulli was born with a number of medical conditions, including a rare heart

condition, epilepsy and an underdeveloped brain. She was unable to walk, talk or eat, yet she communicated in her own special way through her cheeky personality, smile

and glimmering eyes.

In November 2019, at the age of eight, Tulli left her family earthside. Despite

experiencing life-changing grief, the Seabert family have since set out to

honour their precious daughter.

During Tulli's life they witnessed first-hand the power and impact music has and the need for music therapy to be available to all children experiencing hospitalisation. The Seabert's would often play music to Tulli to help calm and distract her during tests and

procedures and within seconds a smile would beam from ear to ear.

Through Sharing Tulli's Smile, music therapy sessions are now regularly presented at Barwon Health's University Hospital Geelong, where Tulli spent much of her life. 

Each session is run by a registered music therapist and is 100% community funded and not supported by government funding.

Music therapy in the hospital works to reduce isolation and stress, encourage coping, and improve wellbeing through choice making, distraction, and relaxation. The best part? It’s fun! Whether it be listening to music, writing a song, or playing instruments, music

therapy supports young people in hospital, and their families, to feel empowered, joyous, and hopeful.

It is Bek and Travis's dream to see a permanent music therapy program established at Barwon Health.
